School education has a significant shortage of teachers. Among those who are in  deficit — math teacher.

And after all, math — it is what lies at the basis of information technologies, on the development of which the development of the country also depends.

Natalya Butyrskaya, math teacher from Irkutsk:

— When I started working 20 years ago, at first I couldn   — There were plenty of math teachers everywhere. Since then, the status of a teacher has fallen. Someone just doesn’t go to work at a school after high school, someone runs away from there after the first quarter — either you don't have enough money, or you don't like it. I  and myself am not sure when I will be returning to my class in September. I tried tutoring this year (every 10 years a teacher can take a sabbatical for 12 months with saving a place) and evaluated the pros and cons.

Mathematics can be taught to any child. To do this, you just need to find an approach to it, explaining, developing your imagination. But look for an individual approach — an almost impossible task in classes that keep getting bigger. 35 children — already a standard situation.

Moreover, if the load increases, then the  salary does not grow at the same same speed. Yes, recently added for  a cool guide. But you can not allow yourself too much for the teacher's rate (18 hours per week), so they take 1.5–2 rates. And considering there is there are not enough teachers and you have to distribute the workload, some get 50 60 hours a week. This is simply unrealistic, given that we and at home spend a lot of time preparing for lessons at home. You get up at 5.30 and finish at 21.00, squeezed like a lemon.

You still need to find time for paperwork: teachers have to spend hours on reports and documents. And this precious time that could be devoted to additional consultations with students. Indeed, in mathematics, as in sports: the result depends on training. The more  the better, so parents lead their children to tutors.

And then it turns out: the teacher is bad, and the tutor is good. This is not at all like that, it’s just that the conditions of a school teacher and those who work for themselves are different. In order to change the situation, it is necessary to unload classes, increase salaries, free teachers from extra paperwork. And then nobody will run away from schools.
